On October 16, 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced that the Member State Committee (MSC) agreed at the October meeting to identify triphenyl phosphate (TPP) as a substance of very high concern (SVHC) because of its endocrine disrupting properties in the environment. ECHA plans to formally include the substance in the list of substances of very high concern (SVHC) in early November, when the number of SVHC will increase from 241 to 242.
